This piece is some work towards a film trailer.
In class in groups of 3/4, to get used to working together as a team with equal roles, we were given a project to complete (see document below "Film Sequence"). It explained that we had to go out and film a shot sequence of footage. It gave us the action of the shot, speech, shot type, shot length and the location (we could choose the loacation ourselves also). The video "Being Followed" is below, this was the finished product of this sequence.
For our first try I don't think this piece is too bad. It does have some continuity issues involving haircuts and clothing, these are things to be improved upon in our next project. Also the use of a tripod would have improved the quality of this video as parts are quite shakey, it will be used in our next project. Also some effects have been used on some of the shots as to keep to the time frame give on the sheet.
Overall I did quite enjoy doing this piece, the editing took a long time but it worked out well in the end. We do realise it isn't going to be as easy next time as we won't have shot by shot instructions of the sequence and the success depends on varied shot types, angles, lengths, locations and action aswell as good editing.
